The National Hartford Center of Gerontological Nursing Excellence with the support of the John A. Hartford Foundation and the Mayday Fund supports the following Scholar and Fellow Award Programs:
- The Patricia G. Archbold Scholar Award Program is designed to support 2 years of doctoral work for nurses committed to careers in academic gerontological nursing
- The Claire M. Fagin Fellow Award Program provides for a 2-year fellowship for advanced research training and mentorship designed to assist doctorally-prepared nurses committed to faculty careers in gerontological nursing
The Mayday Fund provides an additional $5,000 award to selected scholar and fellow candidates whose research includes the study of pain in the elderly.
