The 2013-14 Hartford Geriatric Academy Scholars program is well in swing with 5 Nursing faculty from UCSF and partner schools in the bay area.
The Hartford Academy is offered to UCSF and Bay Area nursing faculty and preceptors who participate in the UCSF NorCal Geriatric Education Center Interprofessional Faculty Development Program. Nursing faculty are provided with guidance and mentoring to develop and grow as leaders in teaching, research, and practice in geriatric nursing. This is the third year of the program, led by Lynda Mackin, Health Science Associate Clinical Professor and Hartford Center Associate Director and Associate Professor, Louise Aronson in the Division of Geriatrics.
