Kathy Dracup, RN, PhD, FAAN was awarded the UCSF Medal at the Founders Day celebration this year. The UCSF Medal recognizes individuals who have made outstanding personal contributions in areas associated with the university's health science mission.

Additionally Dr. Dracup was designated a Mary Starke Harper Distinguished Leader by the National Hartford Center of Gerontological Nursing Excellence. Mary Starke Harper was an icon in psychiatry and was named a Living Legend by the American Academy of Nursing. The Annual Distinguished Nurse Leader Interview highlights the career of a nurse leader who has made significant contributions to the field of gerontology and gerontological nursing.
